Mother and son dead, 28 injured in school bus accident in Pokhara (Update)

POKHARA, July 29: A mother and her son were killed in a school bus accident in Pokhara. The dead were 33-year-old Aarti BK, an office assistant at LP Devkota Memorial School, and her 5-year-old son Prince BK.

Prince BK, who was seriously injured in the accident, succumbed to his injuries while being treated at Gandaki Medical College. A total of 28 people were injured.

The accident occurred this morning in Kristi, Pokhara-21, involving the school bus of LP Devkota Memorial School (Ga 1 Ka 6219). According to police, the driver lost control of the vehicle, which veered off the road for about 50 meters.

According to Kaski police, the injured are currently being treated at Gandaki Medical College and Manipal Teaching Hospital.
