Roanoke police investigate shooting on Chapman Avenue

Roanoke police say they are investigating a shooting that left a man injured on 14th Street on July 19.

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR)– Roanoke Police report they are investigating a shooting that left a woman injured on Chapman Ave SW early in the morning of Sunday, July 28.

According to police, officers responded to the 1600 block of Chapman Ave SW at 1:50 a.m. for a gunshot wound. They found a woman who had suffered a non-life-threatening injury and was attempting to drive herself to the hospital.


Roanoke Fire/EMS later took her to the hospital for treatment of her injury.

The investigation is ongoing and police believe there is no immediate danger to the public.
