Person dies in Georgetown County crash after SUV rolls over

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – One person was killed in a traffic accident in Georgetown County on Sunday.

Master Trooper Gary Miller of the South Carolina Highway Patrol said the accident occurred just before noon in the area of ​​Gapway Road and Insteel Drive near Andrews.

Miller said a 2002 Chevrolet SUV was traveling east on Gapway Road when it veered right off the road and lost control before veering left off the road, entering a ditch and rolling over.

The driver and a passenger were both taken to a hospital, where the passenger later died.
