1 dead in fatal accident in Dallam County

DALLAM, COUNTY (KAMR/KCIT) – The Texas Department of Public Safety reports one person is dead following a fatal crash that occurred 18 miles southwest of Texline Saturday afternoon.

According to DPS, a Honda ATV was traveling north on FM 296. For an unknown reason, the vehicle left the east side of the roadway and ended up in a ditch. The vehicle entered a sewer where it impacted, ejecting Faye Zeiset, 43.


According to DPS, Zeiset was pronounced dead at the scene by Dallam County Judge Wes Ritchey.

According to DPS, the driver of the ATV was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. The accident remains under investigation by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
