First alarm weather | Friday forecast

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) –

There will be clouds and a shower at dawn as lows fall into the 50s. There will be just enough light rain (half-hour shower from start or finish) on Friday to ensure the eighth consecutive day of measurable rain across your landscape. Still, most of the day will be suitable for outdoor plans, with high temperatures in the autumnal 60s.

There will be a front wave from the west on Saturday and with that comes the chance of some squally rain and even hail. The double rainfall from rainfall will impact several outdoor plans, although the duration of the rain (1 hour) is more of a disruption to events than a cancellation of events. Highs in the 60s will be deceiving as the temperature will be in the cool 50s during the rain.

Mother’s Day looks good with lots of sun, some afternoon clouds, and highs in the cool 60s (light jacket if clouds are more dominant than sun).
