Fall River police arrest man after threatening with hammer

FALL RIVER, Massachusetts (WLNE) – Fall River police said a man was arrested at Cardinal Medeiros Towers after verbally threatening several people.

Sean Dacosta, 50, was charged with disturbing the peace, making terroristic threats, carrying a dangerous weapon and disorderly conduct.

Police arrived in the area around 10 p.m. after receiving reports of a man brandishing a hammer and making threats.

Witnesses also stated that the suspect threatened to shoot several people, but police did not find a weapon on him.

Dacosta cooperated with police and was taken into custody.
