SYRACUSE, NY (WSYR-TV) — The New York State Department of Transportation advises motorists that traffic on Interstate 81 South will be reduced to one lane between Exit 27 (Mattydale/Syracuse Airport) and Colonel Eileen Collins Boulevard in the city of Salina.

The road closure will take place from Monday, July 29th to Tuesday, July 30th, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. daily to facilitate preparations for the demolition of the bridge deck.

The New York State Department of Transportation also wants to alert motorists that State Route 695 South will be reduced to a single lane at the bridge over the CSX railroad in the town of Geddes.

This lane reduction will take place from Monday, July 29th to Tuesday, July 30th, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. daily to allow for repairs to the bridge deck.

All construction activities are weather dependent.
