This historic stop will mark Cirque du Soleil’s 24th visit to the Houston area.

Country music fans will also be pleased to learn that Cirque du Soleil is also collaborating with Sam Williams, grandson of country pioneer Hank Williams, for an original song for Songblazers titled “Carnival Heart.”

The song combines heartbreaking honesty and frank poetry with raw vulnerability and deep empathy.

“The idea for the title came pretty easily to me after I got to know Cirque du Soleil,” Williams said in a press release. “Where I come from, most people don’t go to the circus. We go to county fairs and carnivals, and a small town carnival is filled with joy, excitement, mystery, euphoria, etc. It’s a feeling that you always remember, and I think the roller coaster of emotions is what you want to feel when you see a production as incredibly beautiful as Cirque.”
