KILLEEN, Texas (FOX 44) – Two people are in jail after a traffic stop in Killeen turned into a meth bust.

Detectives with the Killeen PD Organized Crime Unit received information Wednesday about illegal drug shipments from Houston to the Killeen area. Investigators conducted surveillance and spotted the suspect vehicle driving through Temple.

With assistance from the Texas Department of Public Safety, a traffic stop was conducted on the suspect vehicle in the 2000 block of Airport Road in Temple. During the traffic stop, a K9 officer was on duty and conducted an outdoor sniff of the vehicle.
