16-year-old girl sexually abused at bus stop in Nottingham – picture published

Officers investigating a sexual assault in Nottingham have released a picture of a man they would like to speak to.

A 16-year-old girl was sitting at bus stop number 58 on Parliament Street in central Nottingham when a man approached her.

The man then sat very close to her before she went to the bus stop. He then walked next to her and tried to touch her face. She told him to stop and leave her alone.

When the bus stopped, the victim stood up and walked toward him. The man also stood up and tried to grab her. He then stumbled forward and grabbed her by the chest.

She told him to stop and leave her alone. A passerby intervened and made the man leave her alone. He tried to follow her onto the bus but was stopped.

As part of their ongoing investigation into the incident, which occurred at approximately 8:20 a.m. on Wednesday, June 26, officers have released a surveillance image of a man they would like to identify and speak with in connection with the allegations.
