Man found with knife wound in neck near city center, says SAPD

He did not know the suspect and the police could not find the crime scene.

SAN ANTONIO – A man told police he was simply walking down the street when someone stabbed him.

This happened around 2:20 a.m. Sunday in the 300 block of North New Braunfels Avenue, between East Commerce Street and East Houston Street, police said.

Officers said the man was found with a stab wound to the neck and that he told police he did not know who stabbed him.

Police searched the area but were unable to locate the crime scene, but will continue their investigation.

No other injuries were reported. A description of a suspect was not provided.
