Houston Hoedown Days Celebrates 50 Years | News

It’s the last weekend in July, which means the Houston Hoedown is in full swing.

HOUSTON, Minn. (WXOW) — It’s the last weekend of July, which means the Houston Hoedown is in full swing.

Houston’s 50th annual Hoedown kicked off Friday with the children’s parade in the afternoon. But on Saturday, the Hoedown brought all it could to those who attended.

On Saturday, there were plenty of activities on the grounds, including a tractor pull, cornhole tournament, live music, bouncy castles for the kids and more. In addition to the fun, traditional festival food options like popcorn, snow cones, corndogs and the famous Houston Brats were also on the menu.

The Hoedown is sure to provide a fun time for all attendees. The event strives to provide fun for all ages and even those who have never been before.

“If you’re coming here for the first time, you might be a little surprised by everything that goes on,” said Tony Schultz, a Houston Hoedown board member. “It can be a little crazy at times, but everyone is friendly and makes sure you’re taken care of if you’re visiting.”
