NLRB files complaint against Tesla’s Buffalo factory

Buffalo, New York (WBEN) – The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) has filed a complaint against Tesla’s Buffalo factory, alleging that the company implements a technology policy that prevents workers from forming a union.

The complaint states that sharing of email and content within the factory may only be used for commercial purposes.

The NLRB set a May 22 deadline for Tesla to respond. A hearing will follow in July in Buffalo where Tesla representatives will appear before an NLRB judge to address the complaint.

Turmoil has followed Tesla’s Buffalo factory since last month, with the company announcing it would lay off more than 300 employees in Buffalo this summer.
