Weather warning for Central Indiana: Daily thunderstorms forecast for the entire week

Indianapolis, IN – Central Indiana will see showers and thunderstorms daily for the week, with at least a slight threat of severe storms on several days. While showers will not occur every day, there remains considerable uncertainty about the exact timing and extent of the storms, according to the U.S. National Weather Service in Indianapolis.

The main hazards are lightning, heavy rain and strong winds. The weather forecast predicts daily showers and thunderstorms, although many dry spells are also expected. Storms produce lightning and can cause heavy rain and localized flooding. There is at least a slight risk of severe storms on several days, with damaging winds being the main concern.

The chance of precipitation is 75% on Monday, dropping to 65% on Tuesday and 30% on Wednesday. The chance is 50% on Thursday, rising to 55% on Friday and ending at 45% on Saturday. Bloomington, Crawfordsville, Kokomo, Lafayette, Muncie, Seymour, Shelbyville, Terre Haute and Vincennes will all see varying amounts of precipitation throughout the week.
