One dead after car rolls over in Eutawville ditch

ORANGEBURG COUNTY, SC (WCSC) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating after a single-vehicle crash left one person dead in Eutawville.

According to Master Trooper Mitchell Ridgeway, the accident occurred on Saturday evening around 8:40 p.m.

The car, a 2008 Toyota pickup truck, was traveling north on South Carolina Highway 453 near Eutaw Road when it left the roadway, entered a ditch and overturned.

Ridgeway says the driver, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, died at the scene.

The Orangeburg County Coroner has not yet released the victim’s name.
