The Ukrainian Defense Intelligence Service attacked an oil depot in the Kursk region with drones

Drones of the Ukrainian Defense Intelligence Service have attacked an oil depot in the Kursk region.

Astra reported on this.

On July 28, 2024, at about 1 a.m., an oil depot in the village of Polievaya, which contains a total of 10 tanks for short-term oil storage, was attacked.

According to local residents, they first heard strange noises in the sky, followed by several violent explosions.

The explosion caused a huge fire, which required 82 rescue workers and 32 special devices to extinguish.

Initially, according to official information from the Russian authorities, all drones over the Kursk region had been shot down, but the region’s governor later confirmed that the oil depot had been hit.

The attacked oil depot is located at coordinates 51.61059313020496, 36.4922042867156 and belongs to the company Polevaya LLC.

It is located 150 kilometers from the Russian-Ukrainian border and a railway line runs through the village, which can also accommodate tanker trucks.

It should be noted that out of ten tanks, three were destroyed in the attack on July 28, 2024, and four more in the attack on February 15, 2024.

As a reminder, the attack on February 15 resulted in a massive fire at the tank farm.

Then a drone hit caused two diesel tanks with a capacity of 1,000 and 400 cubic meters to catch fire.

Militarnyi had previously reported that in the early morning of July 22, attack drones attacked a Russian military airfield in Morozovsk in the Rostov region and an oil refinery in Tuapse in the Krasnodar region.
