LIVE UPDATES: Arrested protesters released; Penn disbands camp and closes College Green

Penn and Philadelphia police officers in riot gear arrested people at the Gaza Solidarity Camp around 6 a.m. Friday.

The arrests and evacuation of the tents took place on the 16th day of the camp, which began on the afternoon of April 25th. Up to 40 tents took up a square of College Green until Tuesday when at least eight tents were moved as camp expanded east of the Ben Franklin statue.
