28 starving dogs eat the leg of a dead owner in a Bangkok house

Police then called model Chonlada Mekratree’s Voice Foundation to rescue the dogs. The owner had reportedly previously agreed to hand over all the dogs to the foundation after his death.

Supawadee Srithassanakarn, an employee of the foundation, led a team of veterinarians to rescue the dogs. They found 29 Chihuahuas and Shih Tzus. Two of them were very weak due to malnutrition.

Suapwadee said Attapol agreed to hand the dogs over to the foundation’s care following public complaints.
In 2017, Attapol was seen driving his pickup truck in the scorching heat with many of his dogs sitting in cages in the bed of the pickup, Supawadee said.

Since then, she said, the foundation has been monitoring Attapol because it feared for the dogs’ safety. In 2021, a veterinarian who cared for Attapol’s dogs alerted the foundation that his dogs had been dying one by one every week.

This year, she said, Attapol owned 46 dogs and the foundation broke into his house and took 20 dogs for sterilization.

Angry, Attapol filed a complaint at Nimitmai police station, accusing the foundation of trespassing and demanding the return of the 20 dogs that the foundation had taken from him.
The Foundation agreed to return the 20 sterilized dogs to Attapol, who in turn agreed to hand over all his dogs to the Foundation’s care after his death.

The foundation said that anyone who would like to adopt one of the rescued dogs can contact the foundation.
