Man shot by Atlanta police during domestic dispute in Midtown

ATLANTA – A man is in custody after being shot Saturday night by an Atlanta police officer responding to a domestic dispute in Midtown.

Atlanta police said officers were called to the 700 block of Peachtree St. NW for a domestic call. Police said officers encountered a man and began shooting. It is unclear what led to the shooting.

The victim was taken to Grady Hospital, where his condition was listed as stable, police said.

The officer was uninjured in the incident.
