3 people, including a man with a murder warrant, arrested after chase in Kentucky

WARREN COUNTY, Ky. (WKRN) – Three Louisville men – one of them wanted for murder – were arrested after reportedly leading authorities on a chase through southern Kentucky overnight.

According to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, officers responded to a late night call on Friday, July 26, regarding an attempted burglary in the 600 block of McIntyre Street.

The caller reported seeing a masked man with a rifle crouched next to his neighbor’s house, another man walking, and a vehicle parked in front of his house. Authorities said at least two men were seen on camera, both carrying firearms.

While some officers arrived on scene and obtained video surveillance, others found the vehicle parked at FiveStar on Nashville Road, officials said. However, the vehicle reportedly fled south when police made contact.

The sheriff’s office said it assisted Kentucky State Police in a pursuit to Franklin, where a suspect jumped out of the vehicle and ran away. The driver, meanwhile, left the road and fled on foot.

Officials say the driver was quickly apprehended. The passenger was later apprehended by a Franklin police officer. Officers were able to locate and arrest the third suspect, who had been left behind in the neighborhood, on Saturday morning, July 27.

According to authorities, objects were thrown from the vehicle during the chase and a stolen weapon was found on the side of the road.

Officers identified the driver of the vehicle as 24-year-old Corbett Finley, who had an outstanding warrant for murder in Louisville; the passenger found in Franklin as 32-year-old Kenneth Pearson; and the passenger found near the residential area as 35-year-old Daniel Vincent.

The sheriff’s office said all three Louisville men were being held at the Warren County Detention Center and were facing “charges of varying nature, ranging from possession of a firearm as a convicted felon and attempted burglary to various other traffic and drug-related offenses.”

However, the detention center said Vincent was only charged with possession of a firearm as a convicted felon and second-degree trespassing, while Pearson was charged with possession of a firearm as a convicted felon, receiving stolen goods (with a firearm), and first-degree fleeing or eluding police (on foot).

As for Finley, he is facing the following charges while in custody: speeding over 26 miles per hour (40 km/h), first degree fleeing or eluding police (in a motor vehicle), first degree reckless endangerment, reckless driving, possession of marijuana, purchase/possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a firearm as a convicted felon, receiving stolen goods (firearm), and two warrants from a law enforcement agency outside of Warren County.
