Holdrege man dies after two-vehicle crash near Pleasanton

PLEASANTON, Nebraska (KSNB) – The Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a two-vehicle crash that killed a 29-year-old Holdrege man at 1:26 a.m. Saturday.

According to the sheriff’s office, an ambulance was traveling south on U.S. Highway 10 north of Pleasanton, transporting a patient to Kearney. The ambulance was followed by a 2011 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by a man.

The ambulance slowed down to meet another ambulance and the motorcycle collided with the rear of the ambulance.

The driver of the motorcycle, identified as 29-year-old Jacob A. Kimberly of Holdrege, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers were assisted at the scene by members of the Kearney/Buffalo County Fatality Accident Investigation Team, Loup City Volunteer Fire Department, Pleasanton Volunteer Fire Department, paramedics from CHI Good Samaritan Hospital, Nebraska State Department of Roads and the Buffalo County District Attorney’s Office.
