Grangemouth: Police investigate serious sexual assault on 24-year-old woman while path cordoned off

A footpath in Grangemouth was cordoned off by police following reports of a serious sexual assault.

Detectives have cordoned off a lane in the Tinto Drive area near Grangemouth High School.

Police remain on site between Scougall Street and the school.

Police confirmed that an investigation is currently underway into reports of an attack on a 24-year-old woman.

A Police Scottish spokesman said: “On Saturday 27 July, at around 1.15am, we received a report of the serious sexual assault of a 24-year-old woman near Tinto Drive, Grangemouth.

“Investigations are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting reference 0290 of 27 July 2024.”
