Weapon seized during investigation in Long Beach

Police officers seized a handgun during an investigation in Long Beach, authorities said Saturday.

Officers responding to a report of a person with a gun in the area of ​​Long Beach Boulevard and 16th Street around 6:30 p.m. Friday located a suspect and recovered a firearm, Long Beach police reported.

“The suspect has been arrested. The investigation is ongoing,” a police statement said.
