NYPD: Off-duty New York school security officer arrested

NEW YORK (PIX11) — Police say a security guard at a Manhattan school was arrested Friday morning.

Sylvia Brown, 54, was taken into custody shortly before 12 noon

The off-duty New York employee was charged with petty theft and illegal possession of stolen goods, authorities report.

The details leading to Brown’s arrest were not immediately clear.
