Fatal accident in Chicago: 1 dead and 4 seriously injured in accident on the West Side, CPD reports

CHICAGO (WLS) — One person was killed and three others were seriously injured in a traffic accident early Saturday on Chicago’s West Side.

According to police, the driver of a Dodge Durango was driving west on a lake near Kildare at around 2:10 a.m. when he collided with a sedan.

Both vehicles crashed into the supports of the CTA Line “L,” police said.

A man in the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene. Three other people in the same car were taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital in critical condition.

The serious accident department is investigating the cause of the accident.
