Man fatally shot in Newport News, police seek information

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — Police say a man was shot and killed in Newport News Friday night.

Shortly before midnight, officers responded to a Shotspotter activation in the 500 block of Settlement Lane.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man with at least one gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
