FIVE INJURED IN COOPER COUNTY ACCIDENT | KMMO

Five residents were injured in an accident on Old Highway 40 on Friday, July 26.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the accident occurred. Dante Suero of Boonville fell asleep while driving eastbound and crossed the center of the road. Suero’s vehicle struck an eastbound vehicle driven by Dalton Cook of Fayette. Cook’s vehicle was forced off the right side of the road and overturned.

Suero was taken to University Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries. Cook and three passengers in his vehicle suffered minor injuries in the accident.

The accident occurred at 5:50 p.m. on Old Highway 40, west of Blackberry Court in Cooper County.
