Olympic boss Estanguet confirms salary investigation | WTAQ News Talk | 97.5 FM · 1360 AM

PARIS (Reuters) – Tony Estanguet, head of the 2024 Paris Olympics, confirmed on Saturday that an investigation into his salary as president of the organizing committee was underway.

“I confirm that investigations by the Financial Prosecutor’s Office have been ongoing for several months,” said Estanguet.

“I have no further comment other than that my salary was decided in 2018 and I was not in the room when the decision was made.”

The French media reported extensively on the investigation last February, but the organizers of Paris 2024 refused to confirm the information and only expressed their “surprise”.
