CEDAR CITY – A 20-year-old Cedar City man who pleaded guilty to sexually exploiting a 16-year-old girl was sentenced to one year in prison, followed by four years of probation with zero tolerance.

Camden Ridge Swenson was sentenced on July 15 in 5th District Court by Judge Matthew L. Bell.

Swenson was arrested on September 20, 2023, following an investigation by the Iron County Sheriff’s Office that found a video containing nude images of an underage girl on Swenson’s phone, authorities said.

“Camden admitted to engaging in sexual activity with a female who was 16 years old at the time of the encounter,” the arresting officer wrote in the affidavit supporting Swenson’s arrest.
