85-year-old man caught with blow to the head in random attack in Hell’s Kitchen

An 85-year-old man was struck in the head in a random attack in Hell’s Kitchen on Friday, police and a report said.

According to police, the elderly victim was attacked on a sidewalk at the intersection of West 43rd Street and Ninth Avenue around 4:45 p.m.

When the police arrived, they found the battered man with head injuries.

He was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.

As photos show, a cordoned off area of ​​the sidewalk was splattered with blood as police stood nearby following the shocking attack.

The attack was unprovoked, ABC 7 reported.

Police said one man was in custody and charges were pending.
