Multiple charges filed after drug raid in Muscogee County

MUSCOGEE COUNTY, Ga. (WTVM) – Two people face charges following a drug raid in Muscogee County.

According to Sheriff Greg Countryman, authorities executed several search warrants on Friday based on investigations related to drug offenses and fugitive charges.

Jayla Howell was accused of:

  • Aggravated possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime – 3 counts
  • Serious trafficking in fentanyl
  • Heavy trafficking in psilocybin
  • Serious possession of cocaine with intent to resell
  • Aggravated possession of marijuana with intent to resell
  • Aggravated possession of a Schedule II drug (Xanax) with intent to distribute
  • Aggravated possession of a Schedule II drug (hydrocodone) with intent to distribute
  • Aggravated theft by receiving stolen goods – motor vehicle

Williams was accused of the following:

  • Aggravated possession of a firearm by a convicted felon – 3 counts
  • Serious trafficking in fentanyl
  • Aggravated possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime – 3 counts
  • Heavy trafficking in psilocybin
  • Serious possession of cocaine with intent to resell
  • Aggravated theft by receiving stolen goods – motor vehicle
  • Aggravated possession of a Schedule II drug (Xanax) with intent to distribute
  • Aggravated possession of a Schedule II drug (hydrocodone) with intent to distribute
  • Aggravated possession of marijuana with intent to resell

The sheriff said the operation produced compelling evidence:

Firearms:

  • A rifle in caliber 7.62
  • Two semi-automatic handguns

Medications:

  • 31.1 grams of fentanyl (value $3,110.00)
  • 27.2 grams of cocaine (value $2,720.00)
  • 3.2 pounds of marijuana (value $14,500.00)
  • 494.7 grams of psilocybin (mushrooms) (value $7,420.50)
  • 147 Xanax tablets (value $1,470.00)
  • 239 tablets of hydrocodone (value $2,390.00)

Checkout:

  • 2,346.00 USD in US currency

Stolen vehicle:

  • A 2013 Dodge Challenger was reported stolen from Meriwether County

According to Sheriff Countryman, Williams also had warrants out for his arrest from the Russell County Sheriff’s Office and the Phenix City Police Department.

Howell and Williams were both taken to the Muscogee County Jail.
