A man had part of his finger bitten off in a driving aggression incident in Montgomery County

A 43-year-old man had part of his finger bitten off in a road rage incident in Montgomery County last month.

As reported on News Center 7 at 6:00The incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. on June 30 at a traffic light on Woodman Drive near US-35.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found the man standing next to his car covered in blood, according to a Riverside Police incident report.

The victim explained to the police that the alleged suspect did not move when the traffic light turned green and that was why he honked.

According to the incident report, the suspect then got out of his car, approached the victim’s car and said he wanted to fight.

Shortly afterwards, a fight broke out between the two men on the street.

The victim “managed to climb on top of the suspect, who, according to his statement, bit his finger,” the incident report states.

The man began calling for help from oncoming traffic, but no one stopped.

According to the police report, the alleged suspect left the scene before police arrived.

Riverside Police Major Angela Jackson told News Center 7 they are still trying to figure out what happened and who started it.
