CATHEDRAL CITY, CA (May 10, 2024) – A woman died in a hit-and-run bicycle accident at Ramon Road and Landau Boulevard.

According to Cathedral City Police, the fatal hit-and-run occurred Wednesday around 11:10 p.m. Under unclear circumstances, a driver hit a 31-year-old woman who was riding her bicycle. However, the driver left the scene before paramedics and police from the Cathedral City Fire Department could arrive in time.

Minutes later, paramedics began examining the victim; However, she succumbed to her injuries not long afterwards. Officials did not release her name.

After the accident, police searched the scene for any clues that could identify the vehicle or suspect involved. However, they have not confirmed anything concrete at this point.
