The Leagues Cup is an annual World Cup-style tournament involving all MLS and Liga MX clubs. This year’s competition runs from July 26 to August 25.

Friday will see the first match of the group stage for Atlanta United. The club has been placed in Group East 7 with DC United (MLS) and Santos Laguna (Liga MX). Both matches will be played at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The top two teams in the group, determined by points, will advance to the knockout stage.
