CHPD: Multi-agency investigation leads to drug raid and criminal charges

Police Chief Jerry L. Wright of the Cayuga Heights Police Department confirmed to 14850 Today Friday afternoon that a drug investigation “led to the development of a search warrant” that was executed Friday morning at a location on Klinewoods Road in the Village of Cayuga Heights. “During the search warrant, varying amounts of narcotics were found, which resulted in multiple criminal charges,” Police Chief Wright tells us.

“The Cayuga Heights Police Department was assisted in this investigation by members of the Ithaca Police Department, Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office and Cornell University Police,” the chief says.

The location where police executed the search warrant is east of the Corners Community Shopping Center and just a few blocks from the police station.

Chief Wright did not elaborate on the charges or identify the suspect or suspects in the case. He did not immediately respond to a further request for those details.
