Columbus police are identifying a woman whose body was found in the southeast part of the city in April

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Columbus Police Department has identified the woman whose body was found on the city’s southeast side in late April.

Police said 33-year-old Danyaze Evans-Kourouma was found April 25 near Noe Bixby Road and Carbondale Drive. When workers discovered her body, investigators were called to the area.

Autopsy results showed that Evans-Kourouma suffered from a gunshot wound, which led to her death.

Investigators are still working to determine the circumstances that led to her shooting.
