Weekend storms gradually move inland – Action News Jax

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The First Alert Weather Team is expecting showers and thunderstorms Friday afternoon, mainly south of I-10. That’s where the rain will be concentrated this weekend. There’s also a chance of isolated rain in southeast Georgia.

The rain is expected to ease overnight.

Saturday will be partly cloudy, hot and humid, with more thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. Winds will shift onshore on Sunday and Monday, moving the best rain chances further inland each afternoon.

Sunday and Monday seem to be windy on the coast.

On Tuesday next week, storm coverage will increase again.

Tropics

There is an area to keep an eye on in the Central Atlantic. At the moment it is just a tropical wave or disorganized storms.

The wind is expected to move towards the Caribbean/Bahamas next week.

A certain development is possible, we are following it.
