Fatal pedestrian accident with hit-and-run driver – WHIZ

LICKING COUNTY, Ohio – The Licking County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian.

Just before 9 a.m. Thursday, officers discovered the body of 49-year-old Randall Thomas of Nashport on State Route 16 near mile marker 30.

According to authorities, Thomas was walking eastbound along State Route 16 with a flashlight in his hand when he was struck by a vehicle traveling eastbound on State Route 16. The vehicle then left the scene.

Authorities said they had located the vehicle and driver.
