Two teenagers in custody, one died after Westheimer hit teens and fled

HOUSTON (KIAH) – Two teenagers are in custody after a deadly car chase. At approximately 10 p.m., the Houston Police Department (HPD) witnessed a hit-and-run accident at 10600 Westheimer. While trying to avoid a METRO bus, the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into several cars. The driver was identified as a 13-year-old teenager. There were five teenagers in the suspect who was reported stolen. A teenager in the suspect’s car died at the hospital and the others were hospitalized in stable condition.

HPD Deputy Chief Jessica Anderson said all suspects are between 12 and 13 years old. “A total of five vehicles were struck by the suspect vehicle,” she said. None of the citizens involved in the accident were transported for medical care.
