Man charged with sexually abusing two girls in rural Rochester home

ROCHESTER, MN (KROC-AM News) – A Lewiston man accused of sexually assaulting two girls in a home in rural Rochester now faces sexual assault charges.

This is according to a criminal complaint filed in Olmsted District Court on Tuesday. According to the indictment, the alleged sexual abuse is said to have taken place sometime in the spring of 2023.

A Goodhue County Sheriff’s deputy took a report of a sexual assault last April and interviewed the two young victims last month.

The victims, who are under 14 years old according to the complaint, told police that they lived in a trailer on a property on Highway 63 North in Rochester that was owned by the 32-year-old Cody James Krismer.

Both girls told authorities that Krismer was outside the trailer drinking on the night of the alleged sexual assaults.

The older of the two victims said she and her stepsister were sleeping on a pull-out sofa in the apartment when she heard Krismer enter the house.

She said Krismer lay down next to her and started to private area before returning outside of the trailer, the complaint states.

The younger victim told authorities that Krismer entered the trailer a second time that same night and touched her inappropriately, the indictment says.

Olmsted County Adult Detention Center records show Krismer was booked into jail on July 6 on suspicion of charges unrelated to the sexual assault case.

He was formally charged with two counts of second-degree sexual abuse on Tuesday and is being held without conditions on $500,000 bail.

Krismer is scheduled to appear in court again on Wednesday on charges of sexual assault.
