12 Pretoria Girls High students suspended for alleged racism

JOHANNESBURG – Twelve students at Pretoria Girls High School have been suspended from classes on suspicion of racism.

They are believed to have created a whites-only WhatsApp group rife with racism and microaggressions.

At a meeting between school management and angry students, further problems were addressed.

The girls complained that the school administration did little or nothing to report racist incidents.

They also addressed the preferential treatment of white students and the selective application of the code of conduct.

The girls have been suspended while the SGB is launching an investigation against the school management and the headmaster.
