Teen Arrested After World War I Memorial Destroyed in Central Park: NYPD

CENTRAL PARK, Manhattan (PIX11) – A 16-year-old boy was arrested Thursday night for suspected vandalism Memorial to the First World War in Central Park, according to the NYPD.


The boy and two others allegedly spray-painted “Gaza” and “Free Palestine” on a statue of Gen. William Tecumseh Sherman located near 67th Street and Fifth Avenue and just blocks from demonstrations near the Met Gala is located away, the police said.
