His 0.77 WHIP ranks third in the majors and he has a 53:6 strikeout-to-score ratio over 42⅔ innings this season. … Leader Riley Greene (.254/.373/.515) has nine home runs, tied for fourth in the AL, and has hit safely in 13 of his last 16 games. …Second baseman Andy Ibañez slashed .389/.421/.778 in May and on Tuesday became the first Tiger with four hits, runs and RBIs in a single game since Miguel Cabrera in 2013. …The save -court Javier Báez succeeded in his last match. 19 attempted steals dating back to September 2022. The number would be higher without the disappointing blow he’s dealt Detroit since signing a six-year, $140 million contract in December 2021.
