The parents of IDF Cpl. Noa Marciano, 19, who was kidnapped by Hamas terrorists on October 7, announced on Wednesday that her daughter was murdered by a doctor at Shifa Hospital in Gaza City.

Marciano was kidnapped from the Nahal Oz military base to the Gaza Strip along with more than 250 other hostages on October 7 as Hamas terrorists invaded Israel, killing at least 1,200 people.

The soldier had served as a lookout in a predominantly female military unit tasked with monitoring the Gaza border. The terrorists also killed dozens of soldiers when they entered the IDF base.

“You chose to murder her instead of taking care of her. It was a doctor who did it in a hospital. “She was injured by air force bombing and taken to Shifa,” her parents said said.

In November, Hamas released a propaganda video showing Marciano as a living hostage. However, the terror group later claimed that she had been killed in an Israeli airstrike and released a video clip purporting to show her body.

At the time, Israel Defense Forces confirmed that Marciano died in captivity in Gaza and criticized Hamas for the video.

“Our hearts go out to the Marciano family; Her daughter Noa was brutally kidnapped by the terrorist organization Hamas. “The IDF, together with all institutions, will continue to accompany the Marciano family as well as all the families of the abducted and missing,” the Israeli military said specified.

An IDF unit eventually found Marciano’s body in a building near the Shifa hospital complex.

“According to medical evidence, Noa was abducted to a hideout near Shifa and IDF attacks on the area killed the Hamas terrorist holding her. “Noa was injured, but not life-threatening,” said IDF spokesman Brigadier General. Daniel Hagari announced this at the time.

After analyzing the footage experts specified Marciano’s injuries were not consistent with those normally sustained in airstrikes.

“The wounds observed appear to be more likely the result of gunshot wounds and there is also evidence that she may have sustained injuries related to a fall from a height.”

In November, Marciano’s mother Adi spoke about how difficult it was for the family to accept her death.

“It’s hard to talk about Noa in the past tense,” she said.

“Noa is a girl full of light and love, with kind eyes that tell a story of giving, a smile that never ends. The fight for Noa and her return is not over yet. There is no grave. They told me to sit shiva and we didn’t even have the funeral she deserved.”

There are still at least 130 hostages in Gaza held by Hamas and Palestinian terrorists. Israeli officials estimate that at least 30 of the remaining hostages are no longer alive. In Cairo, Egypt, the ongoing Indirect negotiations Efforts between Israel and Hamas leaders to reach an agreement to release the hostages have so far been unsuccessful.

Most Israelis prioritize The release of the remaining hostages as part of an IDF operation against Hamas in Rafah emerges from a new survey by the Israel Democracy Institute.
