1 dead and 1 injured in house fire at Magnolia Court in Lodi

LODI – One person died and another was hospitalized in a house fire in Lodi, officials said Tuesday.

It happened around 5 p.m. in a residential building on Magnolia Court.

The Lodi Fire Department said the deceased was found in a back room of the home. An elderly woman was dragged from the home and taken to San Joaquin General Hospital for treatment.

The fire broke out in two rooms and spread to the attic. Firefighters extinguished it within 20 minutes of their arrival, the fire department said.

The cause of fire is not discovered yet.
