Heavy rains cause flash flooding in parts of metro Atlanta – WSB-TV Channel 2

ATLANTA — Heavy rains are hitting parts of metropolitan Atlanta.

A flash flood warning has been issued for parts of De, said the warning issued earlier Tuesday evening had now expired.

Brad Nitz, Chief Meteorologist for the Severe Weather Team said the warning had now expired.

Here’s what you need to know for Wednesday:

  • More widespread showers and thunderstorms are likely later this week
  • Risk of rain anywhere and at any time
  • Potential for 1-2 inches of rain+ in north Georgia through the end of the week
