Driver found dead from gunshot wounds after crashing into gas pumps in southwest Houston

Authorities are reconstructing what led to the death of a driver in southwest Houston on Thursday evening after he crashed his car into gas pumps but later suffered fatal gunshot wounds.

It happened around 9:45 a.m. when Houston police said the unknown driver crashed into the gas pumps at Creekbend near S. Gessner. Emergency services there determined that the driver, described only as a man, had been shot.

It is unclear how he was shot previously, so as of this writing authorities do not have a motive or know which direction the driver’s vehicle was coming from, but an investigation is still ongoing.
