Congress and Sandiganbayan stop their work

(UPDATE) MANILA, Philippines — Congress and the Sandiganbayan suspended their work on Wednesday due to heavy rains intensified by the typhoon.

Senate President Francis Chiz Escudero said: “The extreme weather conditions, including the heavy flooding at the entrance of the Senate building and the forecast of moderate to heavy rains for Metro Manila and surrounding areas, have necessitated a suspension of work in the Upper House.”
