According to ABC, two Virginians died in plane crash on Long Island

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Two Virginians have died after a plane crash in Long Island, New York, according to ABC.

ABC reported that 46-year-old Christopher Kucera of Fredericksburg and 43-year-old Zachary Hatcher of King George died on Monday, July 22, when the single-engine Beechcraft Bonanza A36 plane they had just taken off in crashed.


According to ABC, Kucera, who was flying the plane, attempted to return to the runway after takeoff. Both men, who were the only ones on board, died at the scene of the accident.

ABC reports that the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating this incident.
