LIVINGSTON PARISH, Louisiana (BRPROUD) – A recent auto break-in investigation by the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office ended with the arrest of a Denham Springs man.

Lewis Lemon, 34, of Denham Springs was arrested and booked into the Livingston Parish Detention Center.

Uniformed Patrol Officers and LPSO Burglary Investigators were called to the Acadian Trace Subdivision on James Chapel North Road in Albany at approximately 5:20 a.m. on Tuesday, June 23, in reference to multiple thefts and car break-ins.

During their investigation, officers came across video surveillance that showed Lemon wearing red shoes and a black tank top, according to Sheriff Jason Ard. Officers also spotted a gas-powered bicycle hidden by bushes in the rear of the residential area.

According to Ard, the LPSO was monitoring the area. They were able to locate Lemon as he attempted to flee the area on foot. Ard explained, “A perimeter was established and our LPSO K9 partners were called.”
